RIVERBEND READ-A-THON

Title Let's Read; Heading PLEASE SUPPORT THE RIVERBEND ELEMENTARY SCHOOL; READ - A - THON; Donation Period: October 27th - November 7th; We’re excited to announce our upcoming Reading Week, happening November 3rd–7th! You can support our students by donating a flat amount and sponsoring a Riverbend Panther as they read throughout the week. All donations will stay right here at Riverbend and go toward the purchase of a new back playground structure for our students to enjoy.; During Reading Week, our Panthers will set personal reading goals to celebrate the joy of reading both at school and at home! Kindergarten–1st Grade: Students will set a goal for how many books they plan to read throughout the week. 2nd–5th Grade: Students will set a goal for how many minutes they plan to read at school and at home. Riverbend will provide at least 100 minutes of dedicated reading time during the week.; Each student will come home with a sponsor sheet. Checks and cash are accepted. Please make checks payable to Riverbend Elementary.

Title Let's Read; Dear Parents and Guardians, We’re excited to announce our Riverbend Read-A-Thon Fundraiser — it’s easy, fun, and a great way to get students excited about reading while supporting our school! 📅 When Sponsor/Donation: October 27th - November 7th Reading Week: November 3rd – 7th 📖 How It Works K–1 Students: Your child will set a goal for the number of books they plan to read during the week. Reading at school and at home both count! Grades 2–5: Your child will set a goal for the number of minutes they plan to read each week. Students will have at least 100 minutes of reading time built into the school day. 🏠 What We Ask of You Please help your child keep a daily reading log for their books and/or reading time at home. Send the log back to school each day — teachers will track each student’s progress throughout the week. 💰 Fundraising Made Simple Instead of pledging per book or per minute, families and friends can make a flat donation — simple and easy! All donations can be recorded on the sponsor sheet. Cash and checks are accepted. (see the student handbook regarding checks) Checks should be made payable to Riverbend Elementary School. The donation period runs from October 27th – November 7th. 🎁 Prizes & Incentives Students who meet their reading goals will earn a mystery prize from the prize box and a bookmark! The class that raises the most funds will win a pizza party and a field trip to the Waynesville Rec Center for a fun swimming day! 🌟 Our Goal We’re aiming to raise $10,000 to upgrade the back playground structure. If each student raises just $50, we’ll hit our goal together! Thank you for supporting our students and making Riverbend such a wonderful place to learn and grow. Let’s make this a great week of reading and fun!
