Riverbend Elementary showed off their brand new SMART boards to Kiwanis Club members who made the purchase of six SMART boards possible with their generous grant of $9000.
Vice President of the Kiwanis Club of Waynesville, Sam Crain, was one of several members who attended Riverbend’s “Tour de Boards”. The members visited each classroom that has received a SMART board and witnessed just a sampling of what these students and teachers can do with the addition of this teaching tool to their classroom. The “tour” culminated with a celebratory cake in the media center, where staff members stopped in to express their gratitude to the Kiwanis members.
