Growing Gardeners 

Our Growing Gardeners program has had a wonderful harvest with great rewards!  Students in second grade have been helping and learning from the Master Gardeners about plants, insects, and how gardening impacts our lives.  Each year in the spring as first graders, they get to clean up, plant, and take care of the garden.  Then in the fall of the next year as second graders, they harvest their crops and enjoy!  This year the Riverbend Garden entered items at the Haywood County Fair and won some impressive awards!
