Our Riverbend 3rd graders have been learning so much about the human body through their CKLA lessons! They recently had the opportunity to bring that learning to life with a special visit from Dr. Maggie Mehaffey, chiropractor at Engrained Chiropractic, located just down the road on Highway 209!

🌟 Fun Fact: Dr. Mehaffey is a former Riverbend student! How special is it to have one of our very own Panthers return to share her knowledge with our students?!

Dr. Mehaffey and members of her chiropractic team led several fun, hands-on activities that helped students better understand the human body and the importance of skeletal and muscular health. Each student even received their very own spine replica to take home!

We are so thankful for community partners who take the time to support our students and make learning meaningful! Experiences like these help connect what students are learning in the classroom to the world around them.
