RES Battle of Books

On March 25th, Riverbend Battle of the Books team did battle against the other eight Elementary school teams.  Elementary Battle of the Books Competition is a sponsored by North Carolina School Library Media Association.  It is an intense quiz bowl type competition that students spend all year preparing for by reading the 18 different books on the list.  Students have to remember all kinds of interesting details from the books and to receive full credit answer with both the title of the book and the author’s name said correctly.  This year our RES team consisted of 9 Fifth Graders who worked very hard: Jacob Allison, Tyler Evans, Macy Fisher, Erin Gates, Jalynn James, Hannah Mason, Mia Norton, Gracie Trull, and  Savannah Williams.  We are so proud of our team for winning 6th place this year!!
